Video Shows Church Service Interrupted by Anti-ICE Protesters in Minneapolis

Video circulated online shows a group of anti-ICE protesters entering a Minneapolis church service and disrupting the worship. The incident occurred amid ongoing demonstrations in the Twin Cities related to immigration enforcement operations and recent shootings involving federal agents.

Footage from inside the church depicts protesters chanting and gathering within the sanctuary, interrupting the service and prompting several worshippers to leave. Some of those present appeared visibly shaken by the sudden intrusion.

The protesters repeatedly voiced allegations that one of the church’s leaders was affiliated with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), though there is no verified evidence confirming the pastor’s employment or role with the agency.

Former TV host Don Lemon, who was livestreaming at the time, described the protest as a response to anti-ICE sentiment in Minnesota. He said the group entered the church after they believed the pastor had ties to federal enforcement, though such claims remain unverified.

Church officials and many attendees were reportedly upset by the interruption. Services were halted as the group chanted and confronted worshippers.

This disruption occurred against the backdrop of heightened tensions in Minneapolis, where federal agents have been active and protests have continued following the fatal shooting of a woman in an ICE enforcement operation earlier in January.

Local authorities have not yet released an official comment about the church incident or whether any legal actions will be taken against those who entered the sanctuary.

The widely shared footage highlights how protests connected to immigration enforcement in Minneapolis have at times spilled over into community and religious spaces.
