Federal immigration agents carried out enforcement operations in East Los Angeles today, resulting in multiple arrests, according to video shared from the scene.
Footage shows ICE agents detaining several individuals during the operation. In one instance, a suspect appears to resist officers’ commands, leading agents to physically restrain and secure the individual. Agents can be heard issuing repeated verbal instructions as the situation unfolds.
Bystanders gathered nearby, some recording the arrests and shouting comments as agents worked to maintain control of the scene. Despite the resistance shown in the footage, officers were able to complete the arrests and continue their operation.
The Department of Homeland Security has stated that ICE operations target individuals with immigration violations and, in some cases, criminal histories. Officials also emphasize that resistance or interference can escalate encounters and lead to additional charges.
No further details have been released regarding the identities of those arrested or whether injuries were reported.
