A trip to Las Vegas for a youth cheerleading competition has turned into a heartbreaking story for families and communities in both Utah and Nevada. Tawnia McGeehan had traveled with her 11-year-old daughter, Addi Smith, to attend the event, where Addi was expected to compete with her team from Utah Xtreme Cheer. When the pair failed to appear at the competition, coaches and family members quickly grew concerned. The team reported them missing, prompting authorities to conduct a welfare check at the hotel where they were staying.
