After the death of his stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight, guitar hero Slash is broke.
The Guns N’ Roses singer, who is 58 years old, posted a short message on Instagram overnight with the sad news about his family.
Along with her sister Scarlet Knight and stepsisters London and Cash Hudson, Lucy-Bleu Knight was born on December 6, 1998. She was the beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight and the stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash. She died peacefully in Los Angeles, California, on July 19, 2024.
“Lucy-Bleu was a beautifully talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a lovely, sweet person.”
“The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss
In the comments, fans and friends of the celebrity paid their respects.
Violet Grohl, Dave Grohl’s daughter, said, “My heart hurts for you guys.”
Sending love to your family right now.”
Flea, the bassist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, said, “Oh man, god bless.”
Duff McKagan, Slash’s GnR bandmate, had a wife named Susan who said, “Words cannot express our deepest sympathy and condolences.” I love all of you so much.”
It is said that Lucy worked at Electric Lady Management, which is the talent arm of the famous recording studio. She had over 35,000 followers on Instagram.
Slash dated Lucy’s mom Meegan for the first time in the late 1980s, when Guns was at the top of its game. But they didn’t get back together until 2015, three years before he divorced his ex-wife Perla.
Slash canceled four dates of his solo S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Tour because of “unforeseen circumstances” just hours before making the statement about Lucy.
Plans for gigs this week in Ohio, Michigan, and Ontario were all messed up.
“The S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour will resume in Toronto on July 28, 2024, at Budweiser Stage,” the post said.
“We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.”
He is one of the most recognizable rock stars thanks to his powerful guitar solos and famous top hat.
In the early 1990s, he quit Guns because, among other things, he didn’t like how frontman Axl Rose was always late to concerts.
He then formed Velvet Revolver in the early 2000s with Matt Sorum, McKagan, Dave Kushner from Wasted Youth, and Scott Weiland, who was the lead singer of the band Stone Temple Pilots before he died.
Weiland died in 2015 from an accidental drug overdose. Before that, they put out two albums.
Slash has been on a lot of other artists’ albums and has put out four records with Myles Kennedy, the lead singer of Alter Bridge.
Orgy of the Damned, his most recent solo album, pays tribute to some of the greatest blues songs ever written. It also has guest appearances by Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes and Brian Johnson of AC/DC.
Also, the rock star is back with his Guns bandmates after they made up, and they are one of the most popular live acts right now.
