The crowd at the Global Citizen Prize presentation was captivated by the Chicago, Illinois R&B singer as she performed a rendition of Leonard Cohen’s classic.
The song began with a wonderful vocal melody by J.Hud, who then passionately and firmly sang the first stanza. The lady easily brought out the song’s beauty and demonstrated tremendous dynamic control with her unequaled pair of pipes as she went to town on the tune. With so many people streaming the song online, the music video quickly racked up 16 million views.
