Rounding out my tour of the Leo Triplet (I will post the full 4 panel mosaic soon!), this is the galaxy M66. Past interaction with the nearby Sarah’s Galaxy left this galaxy significantly warped, including a massive separated arm of hydrogen gas. The interactions also triggered intense star formation in specific regions. This would be a wild one to live within don’t you think?
